Russell M. Buckstaff is a leading East Texas Personal Financial Representative. A Longview native, he knows East Texas, East Texans, and today’s strategies, products, and services in helping his clients secure their financial futures.

He concentrates on the following areas of specialization:

Russell is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow, and a Certified Senior Advisor. He has been a moderator of LUTC® courses and is a past president of the Oil Belt Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He received the Allstate Honor Ring 15 times, qualifying for the Allstate National Conference 9 times. He received the Allstate Life Leaders Award 2 times and qualified for the Leader’s Conference 5 times. He served on the Allstate National Advisory Board and was the Chairman of the Texas Region EFS Council. He is a qualifying member of the Grand Council of the Texas Leaders Round Table, Court of the Table, and a Lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has over 32 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.

He has been a Boy Scout Scoutmaster and has served on the Boy Scout Eagle Board of Review. He has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award and the District Award of Merit from the East Texas Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Daybreak Kiwanis Club of Longview for over 30 years and coached a soccer team and a Little League baseball team. He was the chairman for the American Heart Association’s 2002 “Shoot From The Heart” sporting clay tournament and fundraiser. He has been a Sunday school teacher and is active on several local boards. He currently is a member of the Texas Ranger’s Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco, Texas.

A graduate of Longview High School, Texas Tech University, University of North Texas, Allstate Business Planning Institute, and the American College, Russell and his wife, Judy, are the parents of two children.

MDRT

  • Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum commission and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only until lifetime membership is achieved after 10 years; otherwise, all members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table.
