John grew up in a single-parent household and chose college when most of his friends made good money in the trades. John earned his degree in BUSINESS ECONOMICS. However, he did have a light bulb moment at age twelve after some debate with his grandfather about whether grandpa had a job. Grandpa won that debate, saying, “I have money work for me, so I don’t need to work for money”. That teachable moment from over fifty years ago served as a catalyst for John becoming the highly credentialed and experienced advisor he is today.
John is married and has two grown sons, all big fans of Cal Berkeley. Go Bears!
