How I Support Our Advisors
Managing a financial practice comes with an immense amount of operational and financial pressure. As the Head of Finance and Operations at Innovative Financial Group (IFG), I partner with advisors and their teams to help them seamlessly navigate the compensation system, design robust compensation structures for their staff, and solve complex operational hurdles within both Osaic systems and their own businesses.

Advisors typically turn to me for strategic guidance on compensation-related issues. I specialize in developing actionable compensation plans for administrators and new incoming advisors, navigating Osaic’s back-office teams, and troubleshooting the day-to-day friction that can distract an advisor from their core client relationships.

"An advisor’s role already has enough stress and pressure. When people work with me, I strive to bring a calming energy to the table so that advisors and their team members feel completely confident, comfortable, and relaxed as we solve problems together."

Professional Background & Expertise
Dave brings 18 years of dedicated experience in the financial services industry to the IFG leadership team. Prior to his role here, he built a strong operational foundation as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Boston Partner Financial Group. His major areas of expertise center on business planning, financial analysis, and financial modeling—allowing him to serve as a highly analytical and strategic asset for our network.

What Dave enjoys most about supporting independent practices is the true spirit of partnership. For him, the collaboration is a two-way street; while he strives to deliver immense value and share his deep operational knowledge, he routinely walks away from meetings having learned just as much from our advisors as he has shared.

Behind the Scenes: Calming Energy & Coastal Interests
Dave is known for his steady, reassuring presence, acting as a reliable anchor for advisors who are navigating complicated business decisions.

Outside of work, he enjoys a balance of active hobbies, great food, and relaxation:

  • Family & Pets: Dave shares his home and life with Johnny, an energetic 11-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador mix.
  • Interests & Culture: A fan of good flavor and great pairings, Dave loves spending his free time cooking, playing a round of golf, and exploring fine wine.
  • Bookshelves: Lately, he has found himself diving deep into historical non-fiction books, though one of his all-time favorites remains Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point.
  • Game Day: Born and raised in the region, he is a dedicated football fan and loves passionately cheering on the New England Patriots.
